If you have a passion for the challenges and opportunities of public school systems today, then we share something in common.  This site contains some of the ideas, strategies and knowledge I've developed over more than a decade of active study and involvement, including service on the Board of Education in Nashville.  

A Great System presents a a three-pronged strategy for helping a system go from good to great.

Lesson Study details a method of teacher collaboration that could support the "Effective Teachers" prong of the Great System strategy.

TVAAS is a resource on the Tennessee Value-Added Analysis System.  I believe systems need good, multi-sourced and broad data collection and analysis systems.  TVAAS is one component of such a system that comes standard in Tennessee.

Readings contains my notes on education, leadership, management, and social psychology books and articles.
